This is the before and after pictures. I just took the one below about an hour ago. She looks great! I included the one above to redeem myself. We took a very long walk tonight. It lasted about 35-40 minutes. She really wants to stop feeling bloated and this was a great way to get things moving and get those new lungs going as well. She did 6 laps around the unit, we walked down to the
SICU and
IMCU where she spent her first 5 days and did a lap there and then we headed to the cafeteria where I took this picture. We are now in a room where I can spend the night. I'm not looking forward to the attempt to sleep on my part. But what am I going to say, '
You're a big girl, tough it out?' She is handling this so well. It's hard to say no when she is just dealing with everything. This room is nice and its got a good pull out bed. Right now instead of pulling her sock off she's just flailing her foot till it flies off. It landed on her tray. Have a good night.
This made me cry tears of joy for you. We hope to join you soon.
